For suitable websites, we can replace a traditional WordPress installation with a streamlined static website built using lightweight HTML, CSS and JavaScript. We preserve the important content, design, URLs and functionality while removing the database, plugins and much of the underlying machinery the site no longer needs. The result can be considerably lighter, faster and simpler to maintain, with fewer moving parts requiring updates or attention. Static conversion is particularly well suited to brochure-style business websites where the content doesn't need a complex content management system behind it.

Not every WordPress website should be converted to a static site. Websites with e-commerce, frequently changing content, complex integrations or genuine CMS requirements may be better served by remaining on WordPress. In those cases, SiteDiet can examine what's slowing the existing website down and identify opportunities to simplify and improve it. That might include unnecessary plugins, oversized imagery, inefficient page construction, excessive scripts or other accumulated weight. The objective isn't to remove WordPress simply for the sake of it - it's to make the existing website leaner, faster and easier to live with while retaining the functionality the business actually needs.
